Ice Fishing season for Trout, Salmon, and Bass opens on select lakes

Ice fishing for trout, salmon, and bass is allowed on the following lakes from the third Saturday in January to March 15. See Index of Lakes & Ponds and Tables in Fishing Regulations for length limits and daily limits. Saturday, January 27, 2018 is Vermont’s free ice fishing day - a day when anyone, resident or nonresident, may go fishing in Vermont without a fishing license.
