About the Event: This two-day course is designed to take you through the steps of becoming a successful trapper. We’ll start with the basic trapper education manual. Then we will expand on that by setting traps intended to catch predators and nuisance wildlife. We will then show you how to skin, flesh, and stretch the pelt. Followed by prepping the pelt for sale or tanning.
Before taking the Trapper Education course, students must first complete the prerequisite online course or have a completed manual & workbook. Trapper Education students are required to bring the online course completion certificate, or a completed workbook when they come to class.
Would-be trappers must successfully complete the Trapper Education course in order to purchase their trapping license.
