F&W Seminar: Turkey Hunting, Barre
April 6 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Turkey hunting seminar at Barre Fish and Game Club.
SIGN UP HERE. (Participants coming to just the patterning portion of the seminar do not need to register.)
This FREE seminar will cover everything that a beginning turkey hunter will need to know, but certainly experienced hunters will gain knowledge from this. The seminar starts promptly at 9:00am. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
Following the classroom portion of this seminar, the range will be open for people to learn how to pattern their shotgun. Participants should bring their own shotgun and ammunition and keep them secured in their vehicles until instructed to bring them to the range. If you do not have your own firearm, shotguns and ammunition will be provided. Eye and ear protection will be available. Instructors will be on hand at the range.
The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is holding a series of free seminars to teach people more about hunting. The seminars will cover a variety of hunting techniques and species and will give participants the opportunity to try a new style of hunting or to learn more about a style of hunting they already enjoy. The seminars topics include Vermont cottontail hunting, turkey hunting and bear hunting. All seminars are free, and participants should bring a lunch to the day-long seminars. Space is limited, and they fill up quickly, so signup as early as possible. For more information on the hunting seminars, call John Pellegrini at 802-793-1894.
