F&W Seminar: Cottontail Hunting, Addison

This FREE cottontail seminar is geared to the beginning hunter.

Located in the Conference Room at Dead Creed Wildlife Management Area, the seminar will start with a classroom portion covering such topics as choosing a dog, firearms safety, clothing, what caliber of firearm to choose, and other equipment used.
Class size is limited to 12, as the class will go to a nearby piece of woods and take part in an actual hunt.
Please do not bring a firearm. If the snow depth is significant, please bring snowshoes. Please let us know if you do not have snowshoes, and we will provide them for you. (Email of organizer is on the registration site.) Dress for the weather, as we will be outside for a couple of hours.
The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is holding a series of free seminars to teach people more about hunting. The seminars will cover a variety of hunting techniques and species and will give participants the opportunity to try a new style of hunting or to learn more about a style of hunting they already enjoy. The seminars topics include Vermont cottontail hunting, turkey hunting and bear hunting. All seminars are free, and participants should bring a lunch to the day long seminars.
