F&W Seminar: Bear Hunting, St. Johnsbury

FREE Bear hunting seminar at Linwood Smith’s Archery Shop, St. Johnsbury.


This FREE seminar is geared to both the experienced and inexperienced bear hunter. Hunting safety, gear used, where to locate bears, and stand placement are just come of the topics covered. Bear biology will be covered by Forrest Hammond. Jim Roy will teach the hunting portion of the seminar.

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is holding a series of free seminars to teach people more about hunting. The seminars will cover a variety of hunting techniques and species and will give participants the opportunity to try a new style of hunting or to learn more about a style of hunting they already enjoy. The seminars topics include Vermont cottontail hunting, turkey hunting and bear hunting. All seminars are free, and participants should bring a lunch to the day-long seminars.
