Kayaking

R&L Archery is a full-line dealer of Old Town kayaks and canoes, Ocean Kayaks, and stocks something for everyone. Whether you are a novice kayaker looking to hit the water for the first time, or a seasoned veteran looking for a new boat to add to your fleet, we can accommodate you. Kayaks are available as single- or double-person, sit-in or sit-on-top, recreational or fishing, with multiple color options and lengths to choose from. See Old Town’s website for complete product listings.

Our staff enjoys spending quality time on the water, and has extensive experience with kayaking around the state, so don’t hesitate to ask us for tips, advice, or just inquire after our favorite paddling spots.

Paddles (and Oars!)

Having the kayak or canoe is only part of the experience. We stock a wide selection of Aqua Bound and  Bending Branches kayak paddles, and Caviness canoe paddles, ranging from the economical and functional to sleek carbon-fiber paddles made for endless days of paddling. Let us help you pick out the paddle that best fits your paddling needs.

We also stock oars by Caviness in 6′, 6.5′, and 7′ lengths.

Life Vests

You can’t go out on the water until you have a life vest, and we have just what you need. Kayak and canoe vests are cut high in the back for full comfort when seated. Different styles–some made for constant use day after day, others that are perfect for having around the boat just in case you need them in a hurry–we have you covered!

Auto Racks

Of course, even having your boat, paddles, and life vest won’t help you get to the lake if you don’t have any way to transport your boat. We stock a full selection of Malone roof racks and load-assists to help any-sized boater load any boat onto any vehicle. We customize them to guarantee a tight and secure fit, and install your Malone racks for you for FREE while you wait!

For those who don’t want to try to heft their boats on top of their car, Malone offers several tow-behind trailers as well.

Getting There!

Finding your way to a new pond to explore can be a challenge. The Delorme Atlas and Gazetteer is a must-have item to carry in any vehicle. These large-format (11 x 15.5 inches) maps are available for all fifty states; you’ll find the New England states at R&L Archery.

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department maintains more than 180 developed fishing access areas. A search feature to find locations and information about each is available here.
